Donald Ball Sr.

Donald Thomas Ball Sr. Mr. Donald Thomas Ball Sr, 84 of Lewiston, Michigan passed away on January 13, 2016 at his home surrounded by family. He was born on March 28, 1931 in Flint, Michigan the son of Clarence and Norene (Hall) Ball. He married Barbara Douglass on June 26, 1948 and together the couple celebrated 68 years of marriage before his passing. He has lived in Lewiston for the past 43 years, formerly of Flint, Michigan. Don worked as a well driller for over 30 years and a carpenter until retirement. He enjoyed working in his wood shop making yard projects, baskets, bird houses, etc. Don is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Ball of Lewiston; sons, Clarence (Pat) Ball of Davison; Ronald (Dawn) Ball of Lewiston; Kevin (Dawn) Ball of Kalkaska; and daughter, Lori (Don) Padgitt of Lewiston; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and special friend, Heather Belli of Lewiston. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Ball; and son, Donald Ball Jr. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial held in celebration of his life at 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 23, 2015 at Green Funeral Home, Lewiston; Pastor Dave Engel officiating. Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
