Dominic (Dan) Frank Martines Dominic (Dan) Frank Martines, 67 of Atlanta, MI, passed away March 18, 2011 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. He was born to Frank and Christine (Spano) Martines on August 22, 1943 in Highland Park, MI. He married Andrea (Lloyd) Brown on February 14, 1988 in Oscoda, MI. Dan served in the Navy for six years and was a Vietnam veteran. He moved to Atlanta in 1999 from Lachine, MI and was self employed working in construction for many years. In the last fifteen years he worked doing maintenance for NEMSCA. He was an avid Atlanta High School sports supporter and sold tickets at basketball games. He was also a line judge for girls volleyball. He served as a member of the River of Life Ministries in Tower, MI and was very dedicated to the Lord. Above everything, he loved his time spent with family. He is survived by wife, Andrea of Atlanta, MI; daughters, Lydia Westgate of Alpena, MI; Theresa (Barney) Current of Mt. Pleasant, MI; and Rachel Martines of Atlanta, MI; sister Diane (Louis) Gallton of NY; and a grandchild on the way. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service for Mr. Martines will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the River of Life Ministries in Tower, MI with Pastor Bob Jones officiating.
