Diane Gail DeBoer-Sauls Diane Gail DeBoer-Sauls, 52, of Hillman, MI passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. She was born on March 4, 1955, in Flint, MI. She has lived in Hillman most of her life, graduating from Hillman High School in 1973. She graduated from Alpena Community College in 2007. Diane has worked at Wayne Wire for the past 20 yrs. She was a member of the Ramblin Rods Car Club in Alpena, and enjoyed attending all the car shows. She was an animal lover, especially the birds. She enjoyed the trees and hated whenever one in the yard had to be cut. She liked to cook, especially baking. She was into arts and crafts, especially candle making, weaving, and spinning. She liked to hunt deer with Marty. Above all else, her family came first. Diane is survived by her husband, Marty of Hillman, MI; three sons, Tim, Matt, and Chris all of Hillman, MI; 3 grandchildren, Hayley, Lance, and Morgan; mother, Laura Garfield of Atlanta, MI; sister, Virginia Paul of Atlanta, MI; and two step brothers, Terry (Sharon) Garfield and Jim (Vicki) Garfield, both of Flint, MI. She was preceded in death by her dad, Jim Garfield. Funeral services for Mrs Sauls will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 7:00 PM at the Green Funeral Home, Hillman, MI, Pastor David Fisher officiating. Visitation hours will be held from 4:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home. The family has suggested memorials to the National Audubon Society, Department W, 700 Broadway, New York, NY 10003.
