Dewayne Smith

Mr. DeWayne Kenneth Smith, 64 of Hillman, Michigan died suddenly on November 22, 2021. He was born in Alpena, Michigan on May 13, 1957 to Kenneth and Joan (Linseman) Smith. He graduated in 1975 from Beecher High School in Flint and then attended Mott Community College where he studied drafting and design. In the past, DeWayne worked for Kenyon Brothers Construction in Hillman. In his free time, he enjoyed computers and playing video games with his sons. He will be deeply missed.

DeWayne is survived by his sons, Dakota Smith of Hillman; Cherokee Smith of Alpena; sisters, Loretta Smith; Diania Smith both of Hillman; mother, Joan Smith of Hillman; nephews, Kenny (Jody) Barrie; Josh Burgess both of Hillman; and great nephews, Jordan, Colby, and Oliver. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Smith.

In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember DeWayne privately at this time.
