Denise Nickert

Denise G. Nickert Denise G. Nickert, 49, of Lewiston, MI, passed away on February 25, 2010 at her residence. She was born on May 10, 1960 to Louie and Louise (Edwards) Dubrul in St Clair Shores, MI. She married Jamie Nickert on June 18, 1977 in Lovells, MI. Denise moved to Lewiston in 1970, left for Santa Maria, CA, then returned to Lewiston in 2000. She worked as a custodian at Johannesburg Lewiston Schools for a few years. She was a member of the Unity Church of Missouri. She was an avid reader and loved to garden. She liked crafts, especially painting with watercolors and needlepoint. Denise is survived by her husband, Jamie; daughter, Theresa Nickert of Santa Rosa, CA; son, Jason (Mandy) Nickert of New Baltimore, MI; grandchidlren, Jacob, Dalee, and Austin; her parents, Louie and Louise Dubrul of Carsonville, MI; brother, Larry (Dawn) Dubrul of Hollister, CA; and sisters, Michele Dubrul of Santa Rosa, CA, and Lori (Robert) Fritz of Hendersonville, NV. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services for Mrs Nickert planned at this time.
