Delores Parker

August 2, 1932 — January 3, 2014

Delores June Parker Mrs. Delores June Parker, 81 of Lewiston, Michigan went to be with the Lord on January 03, 2014 at the AuSable Valley Nursing Home in Fairview, Michigan. She was born in Pontiac, Michigan to the late, Kelly and Bessie (Hubbard) Callahan on August 02,1932. She married husband, Ronald Parker on May 20, 1978 and together they celebrated 35 years of marriage before her passing. She resided in Lewiston since 1968, formerly of Commerce Lake. Delores was a member of the Lioness Club and the United Congregational Church of Christ. She enjoyed antiques and traveling and was an avid gardener. Above everything, she enjoyed her time spent with family and will be greatly missed. "God saw you getting tired and a cure was not meant to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered, "Come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away, and although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best." She is survived by loving husband, Ronald Parker of Lewiston; daughter, Kelly (Ron) Martin of Lewiston; son, Kenneth (Jane) Grace of West Bloomfield; son, Jeffrey Turpin of Lewiston; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; stepdaughter, Pat (Mike) Martin of Goshen, Indiana; and stepson, John (Debbie) Parker of Croswell. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kelly and Bessie Callahan. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial held in celebration of her life at a later date.
