Delores M. Collins Delores M. Collins, 78, of Lewiston, MI, formerly of Milan, MI, passed away on April 10, 2012. She was born on November 28, 1933 in Milan, MI to Edward and Etillie (Laskowski) Collins. In 1965, she became part of the Robert and Martha Conklin family. Dee worked at the Ypsilanti State Hospital as a cook and in housekeeping for many years before her retirement. She also worked for her favorite doctor, William Riley in Milan, and had many cleaning jobs up until her health would no longer cooperate. Dee moved to Lewiston in 2005 to be near Dan and Terrie. He most happy moments were spending time with her dogs, Budi and Boomer, that she affectionately referred to as her "boys". She enjoyed sitting on her deck, feeding the chipmunks, ducks, and birds. She loved to play BINGO and to talk to friends on the phone. Dee is survived by Dan and Terrie Case of Lewiston. She was preceded in death by her parents and Martha Conklin. Dee spent most of her life giving to those in need. Her last gift was donating her body to the University of Michigan Medical School. Arrangements were entrusted to the Green Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Elk Country Animal Shelter in Atlanta, MI or DHK Animal Rescue in Milan, MI.
