Delano Stewart

Delano Theodore Stewart Delano Theodore Stewart, 67, of Luzerne, MI, passed away on May 7, 2012 at his residence. He was born on November 28, 1944 to Woodrow and Anne (Kimbler) Stewart in Hopewell, KY. He married the former Brigitte Glaz on September 19, 1966 in Capac, MI. He has lived in Luzerne since 1999 formerly of East Pointe, MI. Ted retired from General Motors from the Hamtramck plant after 30 yrs of service. He was a self taught woodworker, having made cabinets, jewelry boxes, and toy boxes for family and friends. He and his wife also enjoyed collecting vinyl records over the years, at one time their collection topped over 10,000 albums. Above everything else, family always came first for Ted. Ted is survived by his wife, Brigitte of Luzerne, MI; sons, Sean (Christine) of Comins, MI, and Eric (Stormy) Stewart of Mt Morris, MI; daughter, Rebecca Singler of Fairview, MI; grandchildren, Elizah, Nissa, Miranda, Sadie, and Abigail; and 10 brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by siblings, Paul, Robert, and Donna Stewart. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services for Mr Stewart planned at this time.
