Deborah Kay Kamen Mrs. Deborah Kay Kamen, 53 of Alanson, Michigan, formerly of Atlanta, passed away on May 27, 2013 with loving family at her side. She was born to John and Devine (Bergey) Barnes in Lansing, Michigan on September 8, 1959. She had many hobbies that she enjoyed to do including; mushroom hunting, watching scary movies, tending to her vegetable gardens, and yard sales. Deborah was always very independent, always happy, and enjoyed singing. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Rick Kamen of New Mexico; son, Joshua Barnes of Pontiac; daughter, Karmen Hines of Hillman; numerous grandchildren; mother, Devine Barnes of Atlanta; brothers, Jerry Barnes of Pontiac; Douglas Barnes of Atlanta; sisters, Cindy Taylor of Atlanta; Lois (Ed Godin) Heinbokel of Atlanta; and Loretta (Douglas) Heinbokel of Alanson. She was preceded in death by her father, John Barnes; and granddaughter, Destiny Barnes. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation services for Mrs. Kamen were held on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, Michigan.
