Deanna Sue Dunbar Deanna Sue Dunbar, 75, of Lewiston, Michigan passed away on Monday, November 12, 2012 at her home. Deanna was born on August 2, 1937 in Brinton, Michigan; the daughter of George and Cora Beers. She held a Bachelor's and Master's degree in education from Central Michigan University. Deanna was a special education teacher working both in Grand Rapids and Traverse City school systems. She spent several years teaching in Tampa, Florida as well. Her passion for education and helping special needs children directed her career path that spanned over thirty years. Deanna still kept in touch with many of her former students even after retirement. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband of forty-four years, Jerry Dunbar of Lewiston; daughter, Kristin (Frank) Dunbar-Moore of Loutz, Florida; son, Patrick (Diane) Radey of Charlotte, North Carolina; three grandchildren; brother, William (Fran) Beers of Williamston; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Cora Beers; and brother, Dean Beers. As were her wishes, Deanna has been cremated and a memorial will be held in celebration of her life in Brinton, Michigan in the spring of 2013. Contributions can be made in Deanna's memory to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
