Dean Edward Martin Dean Edward Martin, 66, of Atlanta, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2008 at his residence. He was born on December 28, 1941 to Gale and Gladys (Cady) Martin in Ft Wayne, IN. He served his country in the US Air Force. Dean retired from the American Red Cross where her worked for 29 years. He and his wife moved to Canada Creek Ranch, and he went to work for Lewiston Hardware until very recently. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He took a lot of pride in his 1972 Elcamino that he restored. Above everything else he loved life, especially his life at Canada Creek, which to him was paradise. Dean is survived by his wife, Pam of Atlanta, MI; daughters, Wendy (Lester) Phinney of Ortonville, MI and Wendi (Wesley) Summers-Mullins of Knoxville, TN; son, Scott (Kyleen) Summers of Berkley, MI; 5 grandchildren; sisters, Sandi (Don) Morris and Sue Martin both of Big Rapids, MI; several nieces and nephews; mother and father in law, Don and Colleen Holloway of Atlanta, MI; sister in law, Flo (Ron) Bates of Lewiston; brother in law, Michael (Dwinn) Holloway of Fenton, MI; dear Aunt June Ackerman of Fenton, MI; and dear friend, Fleda Kolp of Atlanta, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gale and Gladys; and a special niece, Melissa. As were his wishes, Mr Martin has been cremated and a family memorial was held on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at his residence.
