b. August 1, 1935

Dean Charles Lyons On November 1, 2009 Dean Charles Lyons, 74, graduated to a higher level of service for his Lord & Savior , Jesus Christ. He is now singing in the biggest choir of all. He was born on August 1, 1935 to Charles and Mabel (Zimmerman) Lyons in Detroit, MI. He married the former Joyce Holderness on June 5, 1958 at their home in Howell. Dean served his country in the National Guard. He retired from GM after 30+yrs of service. He has lived in Atlanta for the past 20 yrs formerly of Brighton, MI. He was a member of Community Baptist Chapel in Hillman, and was very active there, serving as a deacon, and enjoyed talking to people about the Lord. He loved to woodwork in his workshop,used to hunt and fish when he was able, and loved to sing, especially in church. Most of all, Dean loved his country and was very patriotic. Dean is survived by his wife, Joyce of Atlanta, MI; sons, Charles (Terry) Lyons of LosGotos, CA, and Richard (Lisa) Lyons of Mebble Lake, MD; daughter, Lori Blouvin of Westland, MI; grandchildren, Jessica, David, Ashley, Daniel, and Trisha; and great grandchildren, Alexis, Felix, Ryan, Kenny, and Savannah. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jack; and sister, Barbara Drake. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place, a memorial service will be held at a later date at the Community Baptist Chapel in Hillman. The family would like to ask that people in lieu of flowers make a donation to the Community Baptist Chapel, P.O Box 524, Hillman, Michigan 49746.
