David Zweng

David Walter Zweng Mr. David Walter Zweng, 73 of Hillman, Michigan passed away at his residence surrounded by loved ones on July 31, 2013. He was born to the late, Walter and Lucille (Goullette) Zweng in Marine City, Michigan on January 04, 1940. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He married wife, Betty (Fountaine) in Pontiac, Michigan in July of 1968. David lived in Hillman for the past 20+ years, formerly of Clarkston. He retired from General Motors after 17 years. He was an avid bass fisherman and loved the sport of fishing. He enjoyed hunting, cutting and hauling wood, and snowplowing in the winter. He was often found socializing with friends and most of all, enjoyed his time spent with family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Betty Zweng of Hillman; sons, William (Jill) Zweng of New Baltimore; Mark (Kristy) Zweng of Birmingham, AL; Walter (Sheri Petty) Zweng of Oxford; grandchildren, Emily and Tyler; brother, James (Janet) Zweng of Marine City. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lucille Zweng; and sister, Sally VanSlambrouck. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services planned for Mr. Zweng at this time.
