Darlene Sue Wilson Mrs. Darlene Sue Wilson, 75, of Atlanta, Michigan, died on December 31, 2015 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. She was born on June 10, 1940 to Walter and Marjorie Kerr in Iberia, Ohio. She has lived in Atlanta for almost forty years, moving north from Ohio. She worked for almost thirty years in banking in Atlanta, starting with the Lewiston State Bank, Atlanta branch; through the ownership of First of America and National City, retiring from PNC, all in the same building. She was a member of the Atlanta Eagles 4077 and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed garage sales, KENO, and casino trips, as well as hunting and fishing. Above all else Darlene loved her time spent with her family and will be dearly missed. Darlene is survived by her husband, Larry; son, Alvin (Julie) Halbert of Atlanta, MI; grandchildren, Cory (Betty Jo) Halbert and Jodi (Joey Weatherholt) Halbert; great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Brookelynn, Chance, Logan, and Jace; step son, Ken (Yvonne Currie)Wilson of Atlanta, step daughter, Krista (John) Morrow of Alpena, MI; step grandchildren, Zack, Andrew, T.J., and Dawson; and two sisters, Joan Burke of Wisconsin, and Sharon Peoples of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Marjorie; and a brother, David Kerr. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service held in celebration of her life on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, MI, Pastor Dave Hall officiating. Visitation will be held from noon until time of service at the funeral home.
