Daniel Arnold Hofer Mr. Daniel Arnold Hofer, 61, of Lewiston, Michigan passed away on July 14, 2017 at Wellspring Lutheran Services in Fairview. He was born on January 11, 1956 to Arnold and Shirley (Hellebuyck) Hofer in Detroit, Michigan. He has lived in Lewiston for the past 30 years. He was a master mechanic and worked at Vienna Auto Repair for years, before going to work in the gas fields for Muskego Oil. He was a member of St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Lewiston. Dan loved to work on cars, it was his passion. He also enjoyed the outdoors, camping at Bear Lake, boating, and horses were some of his favorite activities. Dan is survived by his children, Sarah Hofer of Lakewood, FL, and Joseph and Danielle Hofer of Lewiston, MI; parents, Arnold and Shirley Hofer of Lewiston; brother, Gary (Mimi) Hofer of Traverse City, MI; sisters, Catherine (Scott) Reeves of Johannesburg, MI, Diane (Robert) Schluentz of Allenton, MI, and Donna (James) Quandt of Johannesburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Lewiston, Michigan. Interment will take place at the St Francis Catholic Cemetery. Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 -8:00 PM at the Green Funeral Home, Lewiston, and again on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church.
