Daniel Freeborn

Daniel Boyd Freeborn Daniel Boyd Freeborn, 35, of Alpena, passed away on December 4, 2008 at his residence. He was born on April 1, 1973 to Daune and Judy (Zanoni) Freeborn in Flint, MI. He has lived in Alpena since 1989. Dan spent some time at the Sunrise Mission over the years, and continued to volunteer there and at the soup kitchen in Alpena. He enjoyed video games, and was taking classes to become a video game designer. He liked to write poetry and loved to help people. Dan is survived by his mother, Judy (Nick) Kaminske of Atlanta, MI; father, Daune (Kim) Freeborn of Manitoulin Islands, Canada; son, Daniel Jr; sisters, Tami (Tim Kelley) Freeborn of Hillman, MI, and Mary (Nicholas ) Krautner of Sault St Marie, MI; step brother, Sean (Kelsey Copping) Kaminske of Alpena, MI; niece, Elizabeth; and nephews, Troy, Keegan, and Aiden. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 20087 at 2:00 PM at the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, MI, Pastor Roger Steele officiating.
