Dale Thomas Villeneuve Mr. Dale Thomas Villeneuve, 70 of Hillman, Michigan passed away peacefully at home on the morning of January 30, 2014. Dale was born May 21, 1943 to the late, Leo and Eva (Creamer) Villeneuve and was the seventh of thirteen children. Dale was employed at Associated Springs of Ann Arbor; Wicks Builders of McBain; and Hillman Forest Products for 17 years. Dale enjoyed old time country music, the polka hour, and venturing out in the woods to mushroom pick; as well as playing cards. Dale also enjoyed gardening, canning, and seeing someone squirm eating his hot-spicy salsa. He will be deeply missed by family and friends, especially his two dogs, Betsy and Cody. Dale is survived by his best friend and long time companion of 28 years, Ruth Weiland of Hillman; daughter, Theresa; grandsons, Justin and Jeffery Villeneuve; sisters, Shirley Hadley of Ann Arbor; Laurel White of Westland; Donna (Bill) Japp of Tennessee; Jo-Ann Wackenhut of Chelsea; Suzanne Villeneuve of Hillman; Faye Burnham of Hillman; Catherine Villeneuve of Hillman; brothers, Dennis (Debra) Villeneuve Sr. of Hillman; Leo (Linda) Villeneuve of Lachine; several nieces and nephews; and Ruth's children who are also surviving supporters; Gary (Angie) Weiland; Karen (David) Tyler; and Eric (Aimee) Weiland all of Hillman. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Eva Villeneuve; son, Tommy Dale Villeneuve; sister, Irene Johnson; brothers, Joe and Bill Villeneuve; brother-in-laws, Goebel Hadley; Norm Johnson; Phil White; and sister-in-law, Natonnee Villeneuve. Funeral services for Mr. Villeneuve will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, February 04, 2014 at St. John's Lutheran Church; Royston, Michigan; Pastor Jason Mandley officiating. Visitation will take place from 11:00AM until time of service. Interment will take place at the Montmorency Township Cemetery in the spring.
