Clyde Wayne Williams Mr. Clyde Wayne Williams, 72 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones on the evening of February 3, 2019. He was born in Marquette, Michigan on March 10, 1946 to Otis and Lela (McClish) Williams. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam war. In Mobile, Alabama on November 16, 1969 he married his wife, Linda (Mcgilberry) Williams and together the couple celebrated 49 years of marriage before his passing. Clyde moved to Lewiston in 1961, formerly of Marquette. He was a member of the American Legion Post 198 and the Historical Society both in Lewiston. Clyde enjoyed a variety of hobbies. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing, both in the summer and winter months. He enjoyed canoeing, camping, traveling to music festivals oftentimes with his grandchildren, collecting antique bottles, and mushroom picking. Clyde was an all around good guy who was loved by many and adored by his family. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Williams of Lewiston; daughters, Wendy (Frank Kibby) Williams of Lewiston; Abby (John) Gornall of Valrico, Florida; son, Dane (Alicia) Williams of Johannesburg; grandchildren, Cody, Hope, Cole, Aiden, Emmett, Reid, and Nolan; sister, Virginia (Milton) Broeders of Rock; sister-in-law, Anita King of Mobile, Alabama; and parents, Otis and Lela Williams of Lewiston.
As were his wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service held in celebration of Clyde's life at a later date.
