Clyde Freeman Allen Mr. Clyde Freeman Allen, 82 of Atlanta, Michigan passed away on August 24, 2014 at Hilltop Manor Health Care Center in Roscommon, Michigan. He was born in Pensacola, North Carolina to the late, Clendel and Nettie (Atkins) Allen on August 25, 1931. Clyde moved to Atlanta in 1982, retiring from the Ford Motor Company Plant in Ypsilanti where he worked for 30 years. He married wife, Charlotte (Tyler) Allen on July 20, 2002 in Atlanta and together the couple celebrated the last 12 years together. Clyde loved hunting, especially hunting bears with his dogs--his being the best. He enjoyed watching wildlife, camping with family, and mushroom hunting. He was also a member of the Atlanta Bible Church. Clyde will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte Allen of Atlanta; daughters, Pam (Brad) Fulkerson of Atlanta; Christine (Dave) Tesner of Capac; Josie Shelly of Gaylord; Elizabeth (Roger) Maki of Petoskey; sons, James (J.R. Rhoden) Shelly of Romulus; Joseph Shelly of Waters; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clendel and Nettie Allen. Funeral services for Mr. Allen will take place at 2:00PM on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the Atlanta Bible Church; Atlanta, Michigan; Pastor Roger Steele officiating. Visitation will take place from 11:00AM until time of service.
He is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte Allen of Atlanta; daughters, Pam (Brad) Fulkerson of Atlanta; Christine (Dave) Tesner of Capac; Josie Shelly of Gaylord; Elizabeth (Roger) Maki of Petoskey; sons, James (J.R.
