Mr. Clayton “Butch” Delbert Andrews Jr, 76 of Johannesburg, Michigan died suddenly on March 20, 2023 at his home. He was welcomed into Heaven with outstretched arms by his late wife, Marcia. He was born in Port Huron, Michigan on November 20, 1946 to the late, Clayton and Helen (Peltier) Andrews Sr. He has resided in Johannesburg since the early 90’s. Butch was a lifetime member of the Elks in both Port Huron and Gaylord. For the last 10 years he worked as a very proud greenskeeper at Treetops Resort. It was a job he took great pride in. He loved woodworking and watching wildlife and enjoyed shooting pool at Talley’s Log Cabin Bar. Every day he would go to Talley’s and solve the world’s problems over a cup of coffee with the boys. He adored his wife Marcia and valued all the time they spent together before her passing in March of 2019. Butch is and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his loving sister, Alice Rawlin of Cadillac; niece, Ruth (Dave) Tacoma of McBain; nephew, Bill (Tina) Rawlin of Traverse City; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews of whom he adored. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Helen Andrews Sr; and wife, Marcia Andrews.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Butch privately at this time. There will be a celebration held in his memory at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the family to help with final expenses.
