Clarence G. Hacker Clarence G. Hacker, 82, of Atlanta, MI, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Otsego Memorial Hospital in Gaylord. He was born on October 2, 1925 to Clyde and Irina (DeRosa) Hacker in Orion, MI. He served in the US Coast Guard. Clarence has lived in Atlanta since 1982 formerly of Oxford, MI. He was a member of Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Atlanta, MI, and also with the Knights of Columbus there. He retired from Ford Motor Co, where he worked setting up plants all over the country. Prior to working at Fords, he spent some time at National Twistdrill and also for Artco, where he worked as a hydraulics specialist. Hack was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed woodworking. Clarence is survived by his daughter, Noreen (Tom) Ricketts of Battle Creek, MI; grandchildren, Bryan and Jason; great granddaughter, Katlynn; and a brother, Bob (Jean) Hacker of Houghton Lake, MI. He was preceded in death by his wife Tess in 2002. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 11:00 a.m., Fr Vianney Sipulski OFM officiating. Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, with rosary services at 7:00. Interment will take place at Briley Twp Cemetery.
