Clarence Brent

Clarence Cecil Brent Mr. Clarence Cecil Brent, born May 12, 1929 to Henry Madison Brent and Emma Marie (Miller) Brent, died on April 28, 2014 at the age of 84. Clarence is proceeded in death by his loving and enduring wife, Wilma Jean Brent; and two of his sons, James Cecil Brent and Danny Wayne Brent. Clarence was a long time resident of Lewiston, living here for the last 35 years, formerly of Lennon. He worked for General Motors for 30 years, retiring from the Flint Truck Plant in 1981. Clarence enjoyed building and repairing houses and was very proud of a circular staircase he built with his son, Randy. He loved his yearly fishing trips with his wife to Munuscong Bay where he would brag about how many fish they caught. He took great pride in his yard work and helped others whenever he had the opportunity. Whether it was with money or physical labor, he was a friend to all in need. Clarence will be sadly missed by his four remaining children; sons, Jesse (Beth) Brent of Lewiston; Randy (Karen) Brent of Lewiston; daughters, Donna (Tom) Williams of Rio Rico, Arizona; Joyce Brent of Lewiston; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Clarence was also preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Emma Brent; brothers, Harold and Johnnie; and sisters, Wilma, Wilda, and Jonell. Funeral services for Mr. Brent will take place at 2:00PM on May 1, 2014 at the Green Funeral Home; Lewiston, Michigan; Pastor Dave Engel officiating. Visitation will take place at 11:00AM until time of service.
