Cindy Lou Foley, age 70, died at home surrounded by love on April 12, 2025. She fought a hard battle. It was the only fight she ever lost.
Cindy loved adventure and traveling. She loved music and singing. She loved mushroom picking, fishing, garage sailing and road trips. She loved family and friends gathering on the front porch laughing and sharing stories. Cindy loved her career as a nurse and dedicated her life to caring for others, always making sure her patients got the best care.
What Cindy loved most was her family. She will be remembered by her husband, Don of 50 years, who made sure she got the best care through her battle; her sons, Henry (Una) Foley, Troy (Shanda) Foley and daughters, Kelly (Chris) Stark and Amy (Luke) Wells. The most precious people in her life were her grandchildren, Adrienne, Hunter, Jordyn, Landon, Maggie, Laney, Fisher, Weston, Dawson, Hudson, and her great-grandbaby, Walker.
She is also survived by her brothers, Charlie (Sherry) and Gayle (Becky) Voisine. Gayle always held a special place in her heart, and sisters, Donna (Don) Mielke and Carol Smithem, and many nieces and nephews who she adored.
Cindy’s door was always open to all, along the way she gained many friends who became family including one who became like another son, Scott Rahn.
Cindy’s smile could light up a room. Her care, compassion, and sense of humor could not be matched. She will be on our minds always, but especially on those sunny days when a good song comes on and we are surrounded by friends, family, and laughter.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
