Charles Prince

January 2, 1921 — July 11, 2013

Charles "Charlie" Willard Prince Mr. Charles "Charlie" Willard Prince, 92, of Hillman, Michigan formerly of Atlanta, passed away on July 11, 2013 at Hillman's Haven. He was born to the late Clare and Garnet Prince in Milford on January 2, 1921. He married wife, Verna (Todd) Prince on June 30, 1942 in Indiana and together the couple shared the last 71 years together. He was a proud veteran and served his country in World War II. Charlie retired from Ford Motor Company after 39 years and only missed 6 days of work throughout that time. He was retired longer then he worked and loved to be outdoors. He enjoyed yard work, gardening, shoveling snow, and going for walks. He camped with wife, Verna from the time they were married all across the United States, more so in the Upper Peninsula in the last few years. Above everything, he enjoyed his time spent with family and friends and will be greatly missed by all that were blessed to have known him. He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Verna Prince of Hillman; daughters, Jackie (Robert) Thibeault of Presque Isle; Bonnie (Dennis Spring) Isaac of Durand; brother, Russell (Dot) Prince of Tennessee; sisters, Geneva Granger of Flint; June Priestly of Fenton; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clare and Garnet Prince; and daughter, Audrey Prince. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services planned for Mr. Prince at this time.
