Charles "Nick" Harry Nicholson Mr. Charles "Nick" Harry Nicholson, 79 of Traverse City, Michigan set sail into eternity on June 18, 2013 with his loving three girls "Charlie's Angels" at his side. He was born to the late, Harry and Marion (Lewis) Nicholson on January 1, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan. He retired from AT&T as a supervisor technician after 42 years. He married wife, Beverly (Gabourie) Nicholson on March 14, 1975 in Lansing, Michigan. The couple resided in Traverse City for the last 30 years and spent 38 years together before Beverly's passing in 2012. Nick enjoyed traveling with Beverly for work as well as leisure. He was an avid sailor and the two would often sail on Lake Michigan and vacation on Beaver Island in the summer. For many years he would host lobster cookouts on Power Island. Sailing was his passion and he enjoyed to take his family and friends, often giving them lessons on how to sail and emphasizing the safety of wearing life jackets to his grandchildren. He was a past member of the Bay City Yacht Club and a frequent visitor of the Sail Inn Bar where he liked to go to socialize with his friends. Nick was a master chef in his own kitchen and was often found thumbing through a recipe book. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by daughters, Pam Eubank of Johannesburg; Cheryl (Randy) Mayer of Memphis; son, Gary Nicholson of Detroit; loving granddaughter, Kara (Steven) Wilhelm of Traverse City; loving granddaughter, Kami (Jay) Bartholomew of White Lake; loving grandson, Kevin (Inna) Klein of Shelby; grandchildren, Ethan, Jared, Carrie; great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Makayla, Camren, and Evan; sister, Karen (Ed) Buckberrough of Brighton; and dogs, Apollo and Samantha. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Marion Nicholson; wife, Beverly Nicholson; granddaughter, Kasie McKnight; brother, Danny Nicholson; and sister, Janet. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and a there are no services planned for Mr. Nicholson at this time.

As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and a there are no services planned for Mr. Nicholson at this time.
