Charles Hysen

Mr. Charles Benny Hysen, 81 of Lovells, Michigan died peacefully at his home on May 5, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Pontiac, Michigan to the late, Benny and Ruth (McCord) Hysen. He married his wife, Jean (Malefyt) Hysen on April 29, 1979 and together the couple celebrated 42 years of marriage before his passing. They have resided in Lovells for the past 30 years. In the winter months they traveled to Texas every year for 15 years. Charles enjoyed woodworking and tinkering around the house. He will be dearly missed.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Jean Hysen of Lovells; sons, David (Diana) Hysen of China; Marty (Dora) Hysen of Holland, Michigan; daughter, Scarlet (Allen) Vandewge of Hamilton, Michigan; seven grandchildren; and his dog, Bella. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benny and Ruth Hysen.

In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Charles privately at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to Green Funeral Home.
