Chancey Cook Jr Mr. Chancey Cook Jr, 88 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully surrounded by family on August 12, 2018 at his daughter's home in Comins. He was born on November 15, 1929 in Flushing, Michigan to the late, Chancey and Lula (Childers) Cook Sr. Chancey resided in Atlanta since 1975 after retiring from Fisher Body in Flint where he worked for ten years as a lineman. He enjoyed a variety of hobbies from reading and watching Westerns, to bird watching, and traveling to visit all but two of the United States with his late wife, Glynes. Chancey will be dearly missed. He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl (David) Tikkanen of Comins; Lynette (Mike) Withey of Atlanta; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Elva Duncan of Atlanta; and Beverly Ingram of Swartz Creek. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chancey and Lula Cook Sr; wife, Glynes; and four siblings. At Chancey's request, his body will be donated to the University of Michigan for the education of it's medical students.
