Robertson, Chad Alfred Mark 05/08/1940 – 11/05/2021

Chad A.M. Robertson, 81, of Lewiston MI, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his parents George Richard and Emma Hurst Roper Robertson.  Chad is survived by his wife Barbara (Baker) Robertson, daughter Michele (Jim) Johnson, grandson Tyler Johnson, brother Bede Robertson and many nieces, nephews and friends.  Born May 8, 1940 at The Vicarage, North Marston, England, the family immigrated to Canada in 1945 then eventually ended up in Howell, MI where Chad graduated high school in 1958.  He served in the Air Force from 1960 to 1964 serving in both Washington D.C. and Itazuke, Japan.  He married his wife Barbara of almost 57 years on November 28, 1964 in Howell, MI.  Chad worked at General Motors Proving Ground for 36 years as a Mechanic, Emissions Supervisor and Facilities Design Engineer, retiring in 2001.  Chad was an extremely talented meticulous woodworker, enjoyed gardening, reading, chocolate chip cookies and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandson Tyler.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
