Carson Brown

Carson E. Brown Carson Eric Brown, 65, of Lewiston, MI, formerly of Bloomfield Hills, MI, passed away at his home on July 12, 2010. He was born on November 21, 1944 to Earl and Janet (Moore) Brown in Royal Oak, MI. He earned his engineering degree from Lawrence Technological University, and then went on to earn a Master's degree from Wayne State University. He retired from General Motors Truck and Bus Division after 34 yrs as an Engineering Manager. He was a member of the Lewiston Moose and Lewiston Mushroom Club. He enjoyed fishing, bird hunting, and pontoon rides on the lake. He played hockey from the time he was young up until he was 58 yrs old, and was an avid Detroit Red Wings fan. He always had projects going and love to tinker in his garage. Above all else, Carson loved his family, especially time spent with his granddaughter Addie. Carson is survived by his wife, Linda of Lewiston, MI; daughter, Kirstin (Steve) Mikel of Traverse City, MI; grandchildren, Addison and Brooke; and brothers, Dayton Brown of Lewiston, MI, and Matt (Marnie) Brown of Rochester, MI. He was preceded in death by his son, Eric Brown. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and memorial services for Mr. Brown will be held on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Kirk in the Hills Presbyterian Church in Bloomfield Hills, MI, Pastor Keith Provost officiating and on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Lewiston Congregational United Church of Christ, Lewiston, MI, Pastor Toby Stadden officiating. The family has suggested memorials to the Elk Country Animal Shelter, Atlanta, MI, or to the American Cancer Society.
