Carolyn Helen Worde Carolyn Helen Worde, 53, of Gaylord, MI, passed away on October 26, 2009 at her residence. She was born on February 17, 1956 to Don and Alice (Erb) McDuff in Traverse City, MI. She married Thomas Worde in 1980. She ran Sparr Valley Stables for 11 years, she always loved working with horses. She was an avid artist, especially enjoying making pencil pet portraits. She worked at Gaylord High School fro 14 yrs as a paraprofessional in Culinary and Art Classes. Above all else she loved her family and her home. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Tom; daughters, Katie (Ryan) McQueen and Megan Worde, both of Gaylord, MI; granddaughter, Isabelle; brothers, Paul (Debbie "Pumpkin") McDuff of Medford, OR, Dean (Lonnie) McDuff of Mt Pleasant, MI, Patrick (Chris) McDuff of Holland, MI, and Tim McDuff of Ann Arbor, MI; sisters, Sandy (John) Gavaldon of Traverse City, MI, and her twin, Cathy McDuff and her dog "Mel" of Alma, MI. As were her wishes, Mrs Worde cremation has taken place, a memorial gathering will be held in Sparr in the Spring.
