Carol Lou Wilding, 90, longtime resident of Lewiston, passed away from natural causes on April 22, 2022. Carol was born in Detroit on March 28, 1932 to Gus and Mabel Bundy. She was an avid animal lover, gardener, Nascar fan, and loved spending time with her family and friends.Carol moved to Lewiston after buying Twin Lakes Tavern, then moved on to also co-owning Lewiston Septic Tank. After, Carol worked at Lewiston Luster, Lewiston Johnson Oil, as well as volunteering on the Albert Township Fire and Ambulance. In her retirement Carol enjoyed working for Jerry Beattie at the Sled Shed in Gaylord. She also enjoyed her time spent as a grandma at the Lewiston School. Carol was a longtime member of the Lewiston Congressional Church, a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution, and an 11-Gal blood donor to the American Red Cross.
Carol is survived by her son, Ronnie (Cheryl) Wilding; grandson, Jacob McDowell; grand-doggy, Brody; niece, Patty (Mick) Hamel; great-nieces, Allison Owens and Rebecca Sober; and great-nephews, Ryan and Erick Hamel. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Mabel Bundy; brother, Robert Carr; and her niece, Sandra Owens.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service held in celebration of Carol’s life on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Congregational United Church of Christ, Lewiston. Carol will be laid to rest with her grand-doggy, Bristol at Albert Township Cemetery.
