Carol Sue VanVolkenburg Mrs. Carol Sue VanVolkenburg, 42 of Hillman, Michigan died peacefully at her home on July 11, 2018. She was born in Alpena, Michigan on November 8, 1975 to Kennith and Carolyn (Miller) VanVolkenburg. She resided in Hillman most of her life and graduated from Hillman High School in 1993. She worked as a waitress and bartender for many years. She loved being outdoors, swimming, boating, and being on the lake. She also enjoyed to shop. Above everything, she enjoyed her time spent with family and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her daughters, Desiree Florida of Flint; Miranda Florida of Mt. Morris; Olivia VanVolkenburg of Hillman; son, Travis Naidus of Hubbard Lake; brothers, Linwood VanVolkenburg of Oscoda; Kenneth VanVolkenburg of California; sisters, Paulette Gohl of Alpena; Linda VanVolkenburg of Oscoda; Sheila Burns of Hillman; grandchildren, Noah and Aiyden. She was preceded in death by her father, Kennith and brother, Carl. As were her wishes cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial gathering at 1:00 PM on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Sunken Lake Park Pavilion; Leer, Michigan.
