Carol Benac

Mrs. Carol Ann Benac, 80 of Hillman, Michigan died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 15, 2020. She was born in Clare, Michigan on August 10, 1940 to the late, Vernel and Dorothea (Cook) Bergey. She resided in Hillman for the last 50+ years. Carol worked as a caregiver at Pineview Nursing Home in Hillman and for Northeast Michigan Mental Health for 20 years. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with family. She will be dearly missed.

Carol is survived by her children, Terry (Kim) Arts; Angela (Alan) Standen; Connie (Allen) Miller all of Lachine; Nicole (Kevin) Hawley of Hillman; Randy Bergey of Mt. Pleasant;  grandchildren, Jessica, Chad, Jonathan, Travis, Tyler, Heather, Amber, Lucas, Kellie, Kyle, Cody, Charlie Ann, Zachary, Rebecca, and Danielle; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Sharon Wale; Penny (Mike) Wale both of Clare; Kathy (Mike) Klein of Alaska; and Larry (Joyce) Bergey of Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernel and Dorothea Bergey; husband, Charles Benac Jr; daughter, Cindy Hickey; and son, Roger Carpenter.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Carol privately at this time.
