Carlene Mae Lyons Carlene Mae Lyons, 76 of Afton, MI passed away May 16, 2011 at her residence. She was born to Carl and Clara (Weber) Hoffmann on May 22, 1934 in St. Louis, MO. She married Leonard Lyons in St. Louis, MO on August 10, 1957. Together they resided in Afton for the last twenty years, formally of Hillman. She and her husband owned and operated Lyons Landing on Fletcher's Floodwaters for twelve years before her son bought it in 1985. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed reading, as well as working on the farm with her cows and raising babies. She enjoyed the time spent with her family and friends. Carlene is survived by her husband of fifty-four years, Leonard of Afton, MI; sons, Craig (Cathy) of Hillman, MI; Rodney (Dawn) of South Lyon, MI; Michael (Jenny) of Muskegon, MI; John (Deanna) of Livonia, MI; ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and sister Carol of St. Louis, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Clara Hoffmann. Funeral services for Mrs. Lyons will be held on May 19, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Green Funeral Home, Hillman, MI, Pastor Sherwin Bransten officiating.
