Early on 22 February 2020, Bruce Kent received his angel wings.
Bruce lived his entire life in Atlanta, MI. He was honest, humble and kind. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, generous spirit and the twinkle in his blue eyes. The lives he touched and the stories he told could fill a book, but Bruce asked that his obituary be “short and sweet” just like him.
Along with his wife of over 60 years, he raised not only his own 8 children, but took an active role in mentoring foster children and many from the community. Bruce inspired others to be better than they thought they could be, and he raised his children and encouraged his grandchildren and great grandchildren to believe obstacles could make them stronger if they pressed on. He loved with his whole heart and knew no strangers.
In lieu of flowers and cards we ask that you instead “pay it forward”. If you see someone in need, help them, knowing that if Bruce were there, he would do the same thing.
There will be a celebration of life service on 20 June 2020 at 2 p.m. at the Atlanta Assembly of God Fellowship Hall. Everyone is welcome. Please bring all your “Bruce” stories to share with the family.
