Bruce Gordon Huston Mr. Bruce Gordon Huston, 78 of Lewiston, Michigan and Titusville, Florida, passed away on February 26, 2013 at home in Lewiston surrounded by his loving family. Bruce was born in Flint, Michigan to Gordon and Marion (Mickey) Huston. He married Marian (Trowbridge) on September 7, 1952. She preceded him in death in May of 2012. Bruce moved to Lewiston in 1945 and enjoyed careers in banking, grocery, real estate and land developing. He enjoyed many outdoor activities including skiing and hunting, and especially enjoyed sharing his love of sailing with family and friends. He was involved in numerous community projects and organizations throughout his life including; The Lions Club, Boy Scouts, Salvation Army, and The Prison Book Project. Bruce was passionate about serving his churches in Lewiston, Titusville, and Monticello, Kentucky. The most important part of Bruce's life was his family. He shared his positive attitude and joy of living with his family and kept them entertained with his sharp wit and sense of humor. Surviving are his four daughters, Cindy (Neil) Gallaway of Lewiston; Susan (Maurice) Evans of Portage; Debra (Harry) Phillips of Fenton; Loretta Siniff of Tampa; five grandchildren, Jeff (Chrissy) Evans; April (Brad) Bigelow; Kara Evans; Cory (Kelsey) Andersen and Tim Gallaway; great-grandchildren, Grace, Christopher, Clara and Katherine Evans, and Mallory and Brady Bigelow; siblings, Ralph (Sue) Huston of Charlevoix; Marcia (Robert) Armstrong of Lewiston; and twin sister, Ellen (Virgil) Klein of Lewiston. Memorial services will be held at the Great Outdoors Community Church in Titusville, Florida at 1:00PM on March 16, 2013 and at the Lewiston Congregational Church of Christ on April 27, 2013 at 10:00AM. Memorials may be made to the Lewiston Congregational United Church of Christ, The Lewiston Lions Club, or to the Lake Superior State University Foundation, 650 W. Easterday Ave; Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783 where the Bruce and Marian Huston Scholarship has been endowed to assist Johannesburg-Lewiston students who will be attending Lake Superior State University.
