Mr. Blayne Edward Scheffler, 69 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully at his home surrounded by the love of his family on the evening of September 1, 2022. He was born in Carlton, Michigan on July 3, 1953 to the late, Robert and Mary Scheffler. He has resided in Lewiston, alongside his wife, Gloria, for the last 18 years. Blayne was past president of the Lewiston Fun Ones Snowmobile Club, a lifetime member of the Moose Club, and a member of the American Legion Post 198. He lived for hunting and enjoyed both rifle and bow season and the occasional chance to feed the deer. He liked fishing, riding his motorcycle, and cracking jokes. Blayne is and will be dearly missed.
Blayne is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Scheffler of Lewiston; children, Gina (Eric) Render of Williamsburg; Alicia Albin of Keego Harbor; Anthony (Lynn) Dixon of Utah; grandchildren, Owen, Benjamin, Alexa, Wyatt, Ian, Aiden, and Sydney; siblings, Diane Slatton, Sharon McCormick, Timothy Scheffler, Mark Scheffler, Robert Scheffler, Ken Scheffler; and his best fur friend, Ozzy. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Robert Scheffler and Mary Wilson; and brother, Dennis.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of life held for Mr. Scheffler at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Lewiston; Fr. Al Pillarelli officiating. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until time of service with a luncheon following at the Lewiston Fun Ones Snowmobile Club. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Hospice of Gaylord.
