Beverly Jean Nicholson Mrs. Beverly Jean Nicholson, 77 of Traverse City passed away on August 8, 2012 at Munson Medical Center with loving family at her side. She was born to Gerald and Gwendolyn (Hennrick) Gabourie on July 17, 1935 in Traverse City, MI. She married her husband, Charles Nicholson in Lansing on March 14, 1975. She was born and raised in Traverse City and remained there throughout her entire life. Beverly was a fun loving person who enjoyed socializing, having fun, and overall, loving life. She enjoyed to sail the Traverse City Bay and was an avid reader. She liked dancing, music, and crossword puzzles. She had a special love for her dogs, Samantha and Apollo. Above all, Beverly enjoyed her time spent with family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who had the opportunity of knowing her and being apart of her life. She is survived by her husband of thirty-seven years, Charles Nicholson of Traverse City; daughter, Pam Eubank of Johannesburg; grandchildren, Kevin (Inna) Klein of Shelby; Kami (Jay) Bartholomew of White Lake; and Kara (Steven) Eubank of TN; great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Mikayla, Camren, and Evan; stepson, Gary Nicholson of Detroit; stepdaughter, Cheryl (Randy) Mayer of Memphis, MI; step grandchildren, Ethan, Jared, Carrie; sister, Gerrie (Jim) Olszewski of Portage; and niece and nephew, Toni and David. She was preceded in death by granddaughter, Kasie McKnight. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Johannesburg, MI at a later date.
