Betty Westermann

Betty Loraine Westermann Mrs. Betty Loraine Westermann, 80 of Lewiston, Michigan passed away on May 6, 2013 at Hillman's Haven. She was born to the late Ferdinand and Lily (Radebach) Lange in Taylor, Michigan on June 4, 1932. She married husband, Norbert Westermann and together they raised two sons. Betty had been living in Lewiston since January, formerly of Brownstown. She grew up in Taylor, Michigan and was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church there. She was a member of numerous bowling and golf leagues and thoroughly enjoyed doing both. She was avid in travel and loved to socialize. Above all, she enjoyed her time spent with family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her sons, Bruce (Leanne) Westermann of Lewiston; Dean (Linda) Westermann of Southgate; grandchildren, Brian, Joseph, Alexis, and Shay; sisters, Evelyn Grantner of Johannesburg; Madeline (Ralph) Schafer of Tecumseh; Shirley (Glenn) Stephenson of Port Huron; and sister-in-law, Donna Lange of Gaylord. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ferdinand and Lily Lange; husband, Norbert Westermann; brothers, Elton Lange; and Theodore Lange. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial held in celebration of her life at 11:00AM on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Lewiston, Michigan; Pastor Steven Thiel officiating. Visitation will take place from 10:00AM until time of service. Memorials may be made to Hillman's Haven or Hospice of Michigan, Alpena.
