Betty Jane Walker

Mrs. Betty Jane Walker, of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully at her home surrounded by family on October 28, 2024 at the age of 65. She was born in Marianna, Pennsylvania on February 16, 1959 to the late Homer and Betty (Flynn) Chivers. Betty graduated from Johannesburg Lewiston High School in 1977. She was the first female production worker in a star cutter company and worked at HB Carbide in Lewiston for 31 years. She first started with the company as a secretary and then went into working production and eventually began work as a quoting specialist before retiring. Betty managed the farmers market in downtown Lewiston for several years. She loved baking, crafting, and singing. She enjoyed not only singing karaoke but was the lead singer in a band in the past. She also enjoyed line dancing. She is and will be deeply missed.

Betty is remembered by her loving husband, Brad Walker; children, Sara (Charles) Schneider, Matthew (Bambi Black) Walker, Heather (Jason) Morris; grandchildren, Chloe, Lyla, Piper, Arabella, and Alana; siblings, Margie (Al) Dandy, Larry (Marsha) Chivers, Susie (Steve) Mosley, Ted (Christy) Chivers, and Annie Bennett. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Betty Chivers; and sisters, Patti Chivers.

A celebration of life will be held in Betty’s honor from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Green Funeral Home, Lewiston.
