Betty Haney

Betty Jean Haney Betty Jean Haney, 72, of Atlanta, passed away at her residence on May 13, 2009. She was born on May 20, 1938 to Floyd and Betsy (Eckger) Gary in Bay City, MI. She married Nelson Haney in Bay City in 1956. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lewiston, MI. She enjoyed playing cards, dice, and BINGO. She also liked to cross stitch, crochet, and go for rides to look for deer and other wildlife. Above all else, she loved to spend time with her family. Betty is survived by her husband, Nelson; sons, Floyd of Bay City, MI, David (Monica) of San Jose, CA, and Bobby at home in Atlanta; daughter, Debra (Dale Edwards) Haney of Gaylord, MI; daughter in law, Karen Haney of Atlanta; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and sisters, Marie Genow of Bay City, MI; Joyce Duval of Auburn, MI, Shirley (Junior) Krejac of Alger, MI, and Rosemarie (Emil) Wagner of Auburn, MI. She was preceded in death by a son, Garry; sister, Donna; and brothers, Bill, Robert, and Tommy. Funeral services for Mrs Haney were held on Friday, May 15, 2009 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lewiston, Pastor Carlo Sgambelluri officiating. Interment took place at the Briley Twp Cemetery.
