Betty Jean Buchholtz Betty Jean Buchholtz, 53, of Atlanta, MI, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2011 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. She was born on January 1, 1958 to William and Dorothy (Devroy) Rucker in Detroit, MI. She has lived in Atlanta for the past 25 years, formerly of Sterling Heights, MI. She and her husband owned and operated Betty and Bucky's Restaurant in Atlanta for the past 8 years. She attended Beaver Lake Community Church. Betty enjoyed crafts, from flower arrangements to crocheting, knitting, she tried it all. She catered and did all the flowers for all three of her childrens weddings and others also. Above all else, she loved her family, especially time spent with her grandchildren. Betty is survived by her husband, Larry "Bucky" of Atlanta, MI; daughter, Dawn (Jeremy) McSwain of Atlanta, MI; sons, Larry (LeeAnne) of Sault Ste Marie, MI, and Jason (Shanna) of Atlanta, MI; grandchildren, Taylor, Justin, Preston, Ryan, Jenna, Emma, Hannah, and Olivia; brother, David Rucker of Detroit, MI; sisters, Susan (Tom) Westphall of Clinton Twp, MI, Diana (Denis) Harper of Macomb Twp, MI, Debra (Tony) Van Overmeer of Detroit, MI, Sharron (Art) Frantz of Lewiston, MI, and Tina (Tom Keyser) Collings of Johannesburg, MI; 22 nieces and nephews; and 17 great nieces and nephews. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service for Mrs Buchholtz will be held on Monday, March 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Full Gospel Church, Atlanta, MI, Pastor David Fisher officiating.
