Barbara Bowerman

Barbara Jean Bowerman Barbara Jean Bowerman, 66, of Lachine, passed away on December 30, 2008 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. She was born on May 25, 1942 to Earl and Flossie (Hunglerford) Sprague in Toledo, OH. She has lived in the area for the past 37 yrs formerly of Pinckney, MI. She worked in the Hillman area as a bartender and waitress for many years. She was a member of the Hillman Sr Citizens. She was a BINGO lover, she used to help her husband run the BINGO game at the Hillman Community Center for 13 yrs. She enjoyed bowling and loved to travel and camp. Barb is survived by her husband, Jim of Lachine, MI; sons, Randy Taylor of Hillman, MI, and Michael (Dorothy) Taylor of Muskegon; daughters, Deanna (Ray) Green and Joanna Whittman, both of Hillman, MI; step son, James (Sherry) Bowerman of Plymouth, MI; step daughters, Cynthia (Doug) Erikson of Victorville, CA, Susan (Robert) Dalpe of Maybee, MI, Sheila Hollowell of Grand Rapids, MI, and Shawn (Eric) Shipp of Stafford, VA; 16 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and sisters, Emma of Central Pointe, OR, and Grace of Toledo, OH. She was preceded in death by her step daughter, Jeri Lynn Bowerman and brothers, Carl and Hawley Sprague. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at the Green Funeral Home, Hillman, MI at 1:00 PM.
