Barbara Autler

Barbara Jean Autler Mrs. Barbara Jean Autler, 75 of Atlanta, Michigan passed away on November 20, 2013 at Medilodge of Hillman. Barbara was born in Flint, Michigan to the late, Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Coles on March 27, 1938. She married husband, Bruce Autler in Fort Collins, Colorado on April 14, 1989 and they celebrated 24 years of marriage together before her passing. Barbara was a member of the Big Rock Congregational Church and enjoyed activities there. She worked at Essex Wire for 14+ years and then continued on to work at the Kohlman road AIS home for many years. She was very active in the community and enjoyed taking walks outdoors. She was an avid baker, especially her cinnamon rolls. Above everything, she enjoyed her time spent with family and friends. Barbara will be missed by everyone who's path she crossed. She is survived by husband, Bruce Autler of Atlanta; sons, Calvin (Pamela) Thompson of Atlanta; Eric Thompson of Dayton, Ohio; numerous grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be held in celebration of her life at 1:00PM on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Green Funeral Home; Atlanta, Michigan; Pastor Roger Steele officiating. Visitation will take place from noon until time of service.
She is survived by husband, Bruce Autler of Atlanta; sons, Calvin (Pamela) Thompson of Atlanta; Eric Thompson of Dayton, Ohio; numerous grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
