Audrey Frances King Mrs. Audrey Frances King, 79 of Lewiston passed away on May 11, 2012 at her residence. She was born on March 20, 1933 in Alpena, MI to Francis and Vernie (Barton) Mowery. She married husband, Douglas King on December 13, 1952 and together they had four children. She had many strong and beautiful qualities such as; a rapier-sharp sense of humor, fierce love of family, true grit, an ardent sense of duty, justice, fairness and order, an intense love of music and an exquisite soprano voice that joined Doug's baritone in countless family sing-a-longs. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #198 and headed many dinners there, such as the Sal Pig Roast. To quote her husband, Douglas A. King: "She has been an inspiration to us all and has been a loving and caring soul mate for the past sixty years. Without a doubt, she is the best thing that ever happened to me (us). She is and always will be God's gift to the world." She has entered "that spiritual House; that House made with Hand Eternal in the Heavens." She has "arrived in the land of milk and honey, where the music is always beautiful and playing to the World about the message of True Love." She is the lead singer of the choir above. She is survived by husband, Douglas King of Lewiston; son, David (Kathleen) King of Grand Haven; daughter, Gaye (Michael) Nieboer of Grand Haven; son, Dennis (Laurie) King of Spring Lake; daughter, Robbyn (Danny) Tygrett of Spring Lake; twelve grandchildren, Wesley, Vanessa, Landon, Erik, Christian, Charity, Nikki, Kyle, Trevor, Kelly, Shaina, Jaime; eight great-grandchildren, Erik, James, Isaiah, Laila, C.J., Alex, Chase, Aiden, Kathryn; mother, Vernie Mowery of Lewiston; sisters, Glendora Jacobson of Grand Haven; Linda (Tom) Behnke of Lewiston; and brother, Allen Mowery of Lewiston. She was preceded in death by her father, Francis Mowery and brother, Douglas Mowery. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at the Lewiston American Legion Post 198 on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 2 p.m. for Mrs. King.
