Alice Turppa-Walker Alice Turppa-Walker, 88, of Lewiston, MI, passed away on August 13, 2008. She was born on August 4, 1920 in Atlanta, MI. She had lived in Lewiston since 1939, formerly of Atlanta, MI. She was a past member of the Lewiston Congregational United Church of Christ, and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and the Historical Society in Lewiston. She enjoyed picking berries, crocheting, and traveling. Above all else, she enjoyed raising her kids and spending time with her family. Alice is survived by her sons, Bill(Maryhelen) Turppa of White House, TX, Bob (Bonnie) Turppa of Lewiston, MI, and John Turppa of LaGrange, GA; daughters, Shirley (Elmo) Wolf of Hillman, MI, and Candy Fox of Atlanta, MI; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; brother Garnet McKenzie of Leroy, MI; and a sister Cora Kliess of Virginia. Funeral services for Mrs Turppa-Walker were held on Saturday, August 16, 2008 and interment took place at Albert Twp East Cemetery in Lewiston.
