Alice Marie Shaw Alice Marie Shaw, 86, of Atlanta, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Medilodge Nursing Home in Hillman, MI. She was born on March 7, 1922 to Herbert and Sadie (Winterhalter) Baker in Monroe, MI. She married William Shaw in 1950 in Monroe Co, MI. Alice has lived in Atlanta since 1963, and was a member of St Francis Catholic Church in Lewiston, MI. She was an avid supporter of the Montmorency County Sheriff's Department. Above all else, she was a devoted mother and grandmother. Alice is survived by her son, Bud (Connie) Shaw of Hillman, MI; daughters, Suzanne Brownell of Grand Ledge, MI, and Sandra (Joe) Matthews of Chesapeake, VA; 6 grandchildren; and 1 great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, William in 1981; two brothers, and two sisters. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Lewiston, MI, Fr Joseph Baker and Fr James Cotter officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Arrangements were entrusted to the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, MI. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to the Montmorency County Sheriff's Department Taser Fund.
