Alice Rhea Britton Alice Rhea Britton, 95, of Grayling, MI, formerly of Atlanta, MI, passed away at Grayling Nursing and Rehabilitation Community on April 27, 2011. She was born on September 10, 1915 to Lisle and Margaret (Cooper) Rhea in Shelocta, PA. Alice lived in Atlanta for many years, and has spent the last eight years in Grayling. She was a member of the Atlanta Full Gospel Church and was the Treasurer there for over 20 years. She cooked at the Atlanta Schools for 16 years and also for a few years she cooked at the Lost Valley Bible Camp as well. She enjoyed walking and writing letters to family and friends. Above all else she loved the time she spent with her grandchildren. Alice is survived by her son, Jim (Helen) Britton of Big Rapids, MI; daughters, Donna (Bruce) Kent of Atlanta, MI, Diane (Bill) Kent of Sierra Vista, AZ, Barbara (Marvin) Byers of Canton, TX, Janet (James) Utt of Williamsburg, MI, and Joellen Schwartz of Grayling, MI; 27 grandchildren; 64 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren; sister, Mary George of Indiana, PA; and brother, Dean Rhea of Indiana, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William; daughter, Linda Seaver; and brothers, Wallace, Frank, and John Rhea. Funeral services for Mrs Britton will be held on April 29, 2011, at 2:00 PM at the Grayling Assembly of God, Grayling, MI, Pastor Gary Wojdan officiating. Visitation hours will be held on Saturday from 11:00 AM until time of service at the church. Interment will take place at Briley Twp Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the Green Funeral Home.
