Agnes Keetch

Agnes Irene Keetch Agnes Irene Keetch, 91, of HIllman, MI, passed away at Medilodge in Hillman on September 21, 2012. She was born on October 5, 1920 to Joseph and Bernice (Hunt) Walker in Hillman. She married Durwood Keetch on July 3, 1939. Agnes spent most of her life in Hillman. She graduated 8th grade from the White School in Pleasant Valley, then went on to graduate from Hillman High School in 1939. She loved the Lord with her heart and soul, and was a very active member at Pleasant Valley Free Methodist Church, teaching Sunday school for years and sang acapella solos often. She worked hard on her family farm with her husband before going to work at Wayne Wire where she worked for 20 years. She enjoyed embroidery and especially quilting, she made quilts for all her children's 25th anniversaries, and made one for every grandchild for graduation. She loved to cook and in her later years, was an avid reader. Agnes is survived by four of her five children, Agnes Irene (David) Mulholland of Owosso, MI; and Edith Emilie (Raymond) Thiem, Richard Laverne (Barbara) Keetch, Susan Elaine (Linden) Shiffer and Daughter in law, Barbara Keetch all of Hillman, MI; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; sisters, Dora Borgert of South Carolina, Helen (Robert) Myron of Owosso, MI, and Clarabelle Parker of Cornna, MI; and a brother in law, James Kemp of Alpena, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Durwood ; son, Durwood Shorty Keetch; grandson, Joe Keetch; granddaughter, Karen Keetch; great grand son Chase Covington; and two brother in laws, Jay David Mullholand and Raymond Thiem. Funeral services for Mrs. Keetch will be held on Monday, September 24, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Valley Free Methodist Church, Rev Ross Wilder officiating. Visitation hours will be held on Sunday from 3-8 PM at the Green Funeral Home, Hillman, MI and again on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church. Interment will take place immediately following the services at Hillman Rust Twp Cemetery.
