Richard Herman Vaden
Mr. Richard Herman Vaden, 75 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully on the early morning of September 25, 2017 at Tendercare of Gaylord. He was born on May 26, 1942 in Mount Clemens, Michigan the son of the late, Wilbur and Jane (Froberg) Vaden. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served during Vietnam. On February 17, 1960 in Vista, California he married his loving wife, Lora (Johnson) Vaden and together the couple celebrated 57 years of marriage before his passing. Richard worked as a millwright and retired from Ford in 1987 where he worked for 15 years out of Mount Clemens Paint and Vinyl Plant. Prior to his work at Ford he was an iron worker throughout southern Michigan. Formerly of Algonac, Richard and his wife moved to Lewiston in 1990 so he could enjoy the outdoors and hunting in a more secluded area. He loved to boat and enjoyed time on the St. Clair River in Algonac before moving to Lewiston. Most importantly, he enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lora Vaden of Lewiston; sons, Richard (Michelle) Vaden of Lewiston; Tony Vaden of Gaylord; daughter, Lisa Vaden of Battle Creek; grandchildren, Christopher, Alicia, Richie, Kyle, Brett, and Alex; great-grandchildren, Ronin and Autumn; brother, Ronald (Denise) Vaden of Sterling Heights; and sister, Marilyn (Tom) Grzadzinski of Unionville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Jane Vaden; daughter, Michelle Denise Bieth; brother, Les; and sister, Carolyn Boulay.

Funeral services for Mr. Vaden will take place at noon on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Green Funeral Home; Lewiston; Pastor William Boulay officiating. Visitation will take place from 10:00AM until time of service. Interment will follow services at Albert East Township Cemetery; Lewiston.
